The Summer school co-hosted by the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan is to be a fourth edition of this international project (Art Markets Summer School Lyon, 2019, Antwerp-Brussel, 2022, Lisbon 2023).
This year's program offers lectures, workshops and field trips, so that the participants could analyze and work with the art market system from different angles.
A team of international experts and professionals from relevant fields such as art history, digital humanities, economics, finance, law, sociology will share their expertise.
Focus will be given to AI and its place in the art market and geopolitical situation that affects the present art market and flow of cultural property given the recent global challenges and technological development.
We aim to provide you with a broad overview of our research methodology and the art market related issues. The art market has never functioned in a vacuum, so we want to position it in the historical, legal context and show the importance of the future oriented international documents with culture as a stand alone sustainable development goal.
We count on hosting participants having different backgrounds with academic or professional interest in the global art market.
The course is to be held in Gultowy Palace owned by the Adam Mickiewicz University near Poznan in order to create a good ecosystem for debates and networking.
